Eight years on, and it seems the technology is finally reaching fruition after Morse Micro, recently demonstrated the world’s first live application of Wi-Fi HaLow, 802.11ah with a 3-kilometer reach, setting a record for a long-range video call that extended almost two miles.

HaLow is a low-power, long-reach version of Wi-Fi based on the IEEE 802.11ah standard. It operates in the sub-GHz range (850-950 MHz) which allows it to penetrate obstacles, walls and buildings, and lets it connect larger numbers of IoT devices at much longer distances and using far lower power. This equates to an impressive 10x the range, 100x the coverage area, and 1000x the volume of traditional Wi-Fi technologies. - Jon Last name (optional): (signal) hello whitebox device - Chris Cummins: (signal) Nope.

A B: (signal) Their greatest issues were simply not having the numbers to tie into a partner force effectively, not having the language skills to overcome inherent barriers in direct liaising, and lacking the staff functions that a partner force division/bde would actually need to tie into a US Div.

They’re designed around competition which is a great capability we need. The transition from competition to conflict is incredibly dangerous for them though.

I’ll try to get their AAR from the OC team that had them. The CTCs had real issues with generating enough problems for a DIV staff, DIVARTY, an SF company, SFAB, and adjacent marines. Ghost team was giving everyone hell though. - T.S. Allen: (signal) Great piece on UAS capabilities and limitations by Stacie Pettyjohn: “Drones have indeed transformed the battlefield in Ukraine by providing accessible and affordable capabilities at a scale that did not previously exist. They are making it difficult to concentrate forces, achieve surprise, and conduct offensive operations. While drones are not more survivable than crewed aircraft, they enable greater risk acceptance. Moreover, drones do not have to be survivable if they are cheap and plentiful as they can achieve resiliency by reconstitution. Nevertheless, the overall impact of drones has been more evolutionary than revolutionary. Drones connected to ground-based fires units have made common artillery shells precision weapons. First-person-view kamikaze drones can accurately hit mobile targets, making the frontlines even more lethal. Nevertheless, even large numbers of small drones cannot match the potency or volume of artillery fire and thus cannot substitute for howitzers. Also, while drones provide affordable airpower, they have not replaced traditional air forces, nor have they been able to obtain air superiority… The frontlines in Ukraine are not impenetrable or completely transparent, but drones are forcing troops to disperse and conceal themselves, which has overall made it harder to maneuver and attack… Instead as Mick Ryan and Clint Hinote have argued it is the combination of large numbers of weapons systems linked together that is truly disruptive. In Ukraine, the dominant pairing has been unarmed drones and artillery…” My one critique is her framing is useless because changes in the character of war are always evolutionary. https://warontherocks.com/2024/03/drones-are-transforming-the-battlefield-in-ukraine-but-in-an-evolutionary-fashion/ - Tommy D: (signal) FYSA ARCYBER- Gabriel Nimbus Developer and System Administrator courses are restarting for FY 24. = Spin up your vpn of choice ( i use CF warp ) =
Use startpage to search for shell.segfault.net or https://www.startpage.com/do/search?q=https%3A%2F%2Fshell.segfault.net%2F&
Click the little mask icon next to the result (see 1st pic), you will enter an anonymous view by stargepage window, basically a proxy in a browser.
This drops you into segfault’s browser shell. Segfault has little root containers for you to do your thing in. Start a new root server. This use to be better back in the day, now you have to wait 60 sec to start up a container. You can go through the token process if you want a bit better functionality.
Second photo is the result. My workstation IP is the proxy IP from startpage…that I’m connecting to via my CF warp vpn. Segfault has it’s own exit routing as well from its box.
???
Profit
Risk here is obviously startpage viewing what you are doing, you can cut that part out if you want but you lose a hop. You can also just replace it with any other browser proxy service. However the original technqieu requires 0 infra stand up of your own and gets you multiple hops pretty quick.

Goals: stay ahead of the curve by mitigating 5 general threat vectors:

Visual & physical Electronic signals & signature Online access and activity Financial information Travel process

Here are some general tips for the application of safe digital practices while traveling and checking into hotel rooms:

Note: Determine threat model based on status in the host country, depending on the environment status ( permissive / semi permissive ) and based on the country it self. Easiest to assume you are being monitored at all times.

Use Secure Networks: Avoid using public Wi-Fi for all activities like accessing bank accounts or entering personal information. Use a virtual private network (VPN) to obfuscate internet connection, making it more secure against casual digital surveillance.
Verify Wi-Fi Networks: Threat Actors often create Wi-Fi networks that mimic legitimate hotel networks to steal data. Always verify the exact name and password of the hotel’s Wi-Fi network with the front desk before connecting. (Use rogue cell scanning tools if you have it)
Device Security: Ensure that all devices are password protected, drives are all encrypted and that security features (I.e fingerprint or facial recognition) are enabled. Keep your devices updated with the latest security patches and antivirus software and never download updates pushed by local cell service. Verify updates and download locally to install offline after validation( depending on phone )
Use Credit Over Debit: When making any deposits or payments at the hotel, use a credit card instead of a debit card. Credit cards often offer better fraud protection and limit your liability in the event of unauthorized transactions.
Limit
The ship is armed with two R-73 (AA-11 Archer) missiles. This should allow it to engage aircraft at ranges of up to 15 km, although actual engagements may be shorter. Unmanned surface vessels (USVs) are vulnerable to aircraft. So the Russian defense has focused on using helicopters and fighter jets to stop them, but now there is an additional threat. In fact, this is the world’s first such naval drone with air defense systems. Manufacturers in other countries have studied the possibility of giving US drones some kind of air defense capabilities. But this system is the first to be used in combat conditions. Missiles from BEKs pose a real threat to aircraft. The R-73 missile is a Soviet-era short-range air-to-air missile carried by the MiG-29 and Su-27. Launching from the surface reduces the range. The detection system for optical-electronic devices of ships becomes a limitation in effectiveness. Meanwhile, the first group of Ukrainian F-16 pilots trained in Arizona has completed training. It is expected that the first flights will begin in Ukraine closer to autumn. So there is every reason to assume that the enemy intends to use combined tactics against our aviation in coastal areas. And we have a couple of ideas on how to beat them in this scenario. - Piotr: (signal) 3spjitxvli6iwgtqfbed.jpg - Piotr: (signal) chapter 19 - Piotr: (signal) lni_lqlzq39h0fxjlobq.pdf - F K: (signal) https://github.com/markqvist/Sideband - Mason: (signal) kciw6yz3qr2cwudnzadf.jpg - K: (signal) The best time to opt out is before you give them your data. You get E5 BAH based on where the school is. There’s a school in Seattle where thurs-sun once a quarter is in person, and the rest of the time is online. He lives in FL. Once a quarter, flies to Seattle for the class. The extra BAH more than covers the cost of the flight. - John “2PAC”: (signal) BLUF: The DoD SkillBridge program is changing.

The changes occurring and outlined below directly affect the companies that provide SkillBridge services and do not necessarily affect service members directly nor the process to apply for SkillBridge, but rather provide clarity for why a SkillBridge provider of your choice may or may not be on your list of companies to work for in your post-military life. Fully online programs which provided certifications or job skills have historically been the most popular programs on Vandenberg SFB, and due to these changes, those programs will no longer be allowed. The following changes went into effect on 15 Jul 24 and are effective for anyone starting their SkillBridge 1 Oct 24 or later. Companies must now meet the below minimum requirements to become SkillBridge providers:

Applications from companies to become a SkillBridge Provider will only be accepted by DoD during structured window of 1 Oct - 1 Dec and 1 Feb - 1 Apr each year and will be renewed annually. This means if you have a company not on the already approved listing at DoD SkillBridge Program (osd.mil), that company must wait until the next SkillBridge window of 1 Oct - 1 Dec or 1 Feb - 1 Apr to be considered as a SkillBridge provider; meaning they will not be able to accept any SkillBridge applications from service members until they apply during the window and are approved by DoD. Anyone considering a company that is not already on the approved DoD SkillBridge list should consider talking with that company ahead of time.
Effective 15 Jul 24 all current MOUs in the SkillBridge Program must sign a new agreement with the following requirements: All providers must be an established business with a minimum of 3 years in operation. All providers must offer positions to participants with an annual salary of (no less than) $52k annually or $25/hour for full-time work. All providers must have a hybrid training program that requires at least one (8 hours) of face-to-face training per week at company locatio
