Typical Travel

Pre-Trip

Booking Trip via DTS

  1. You must create a Request for Orders (RFO) and have it approved, but you can start working on the next steps already.
  2. Go to DTS Website
  3. Select: Create Document
  4. Select: Routine TDY
  5. Select and Book Flights, Hotel, Rental
    1. If needed, contact the Hotel directly and ask for the “Government Per Diem” rate. Pay with the government travel card and add the cost and invoice to DTS.
    2. Add 10% for taxes under expenses (will be changed later for actual cost).
  6. Add mileage to the terminal to expenses.
    1. Save as PDF: Google Maps directions to the airport from home.
    2. Add miles to the terminal.
    3. Upload directions PDF.
  7. Sign and Submit.

During Trip
